August Burns Red screamo? Before you argue make sure you understand what your talking about. Saying August Burns Red is screamo is like saying Usher is country.
A Static Lullaby's new album was almost entirely screaming, yet their cover of Toxic was amazing. You can't group bands into genres and then exclude them from doing things.
I personally thought August Burns Red's cover was interesting, I wouldn't say good or bad, but definitely better than the original. Looking forward to hearing the rest, for sure.
I don't think SG is going to reup something like this - if you get a takedown, and ignore it or repost, you're just putting yourself up for tons of bullshit. Not to mention that there'd be a pretty good chance the whole blog would come down.
If you want this, just go to the myspace for PGP2 and rip it yourself. It's not that hard.
Okay I dont want to go into genres but subgenres but this is getting annoying. Screamo was a legit term as was emo until some kids heard some trash on mtv called emo or screamo and now anything that has screaming is automatically screamo. For the most part genres are not based on vocals in these kinds of music its based on the music behind the vocals such the certain riffs the tuning and the breakdowns and what the band itself associates with. a day to remember is poppunk and hardore mixed to together. and the whole reasin i wasted my time doing this : August Burns Red IS HARDCORE. DONE
Well anon 4:15, looks like you're the almighty one for making a cover 8 months ago. I think it's very impressive that your unpopular band made a cover of it so all of these people can talk about how good it is, since they've never heard it. You are not the hype, Breathe Carolina is. So fuck off.
